Resize scrapkit to a workable size

Let’s Begin

Open a new 700x700 white layer

Selections – select all

Add a new raster layer

Paste paper25 into selection

Selection – select none

Layers – new mask layer from image

In drop down box select MC-Mask08

Invert mask data checked

Apply

Layers – merge group

Using selection tool on rectangle

Draw around inner rectangle to select

Add a new raster layer

Paste paper23 into selection

Selections – select none

Build your tag up by using house, gum tree etc

Position your items

Add your main tube

Add a drop shadow of choice to your layers

Using font on size 22, white, bold

Add the words

Christmas where the gum trees grow

Convert to a raster layer

Add a drop shadow

Place along top edge of frame

Duplicate twice and arrange underneath

Next add the words

Ain’t no frost and ain’t no snow

Convert to a raster layer

Add a drop shadow

Place along bottom edge of frame

Again duplicate twice and arrange

Using Satisfaction on size 48

Dark colour, bold unchecked

Add your name and position

Add a drop shadow

Resize your tag to suit all layers checked

Go back over layers and sharpen

Add copyright details

Crop your tag

Merge your layers and save tag

Open a new 700x700 white layer

Paste paper2 as a new layer

Layers – New mask layer – from image

In drop down box select Becky_Mask038

Invert Mask data unchecked

Apply

Layers merge group

Paste paper7 as a new layer

Repeat mask

Apply

Layers merge group

Resize this layer by 85%

Image – flip

Paste tag2 as a new layer

Using selection tool on rectangle

Cover over area shown on tag

Add a new raster layer

Paste your image into selection

Selections – select none

In layer palette change blend mode to Luminance (L)

Merge tag and scene layer together

MuRa Meister – copies

In drop down box select

After image rotate random

Apply using default settings

Paste flower2 as a new layer

Resize 50% x 3

MuRa Meister – copies

In drop down box select

H-Tile (circle)

Default settings

Apply

Reapply mask as before

Paste snowflake3 as a new layer

Resize by 50%

Position

Duplicate by 50% again

Place as many smaller flakes around your tag as you like

Paste your main tube as a new layer

Position where desired

I added a small white gradient glow to snowflakes

Using EyeCandy5 – Impact – Gradient Glow

Under settings tab

Select – subtle white glow

Under basic tab

Change glow radius to 5

Add the following drop shadow to layers except mask layers

V2 H-2 O40 B4

Select 2 colours from your tag

Using font add your name

Add a drop shadow

Resize your tag to suit all layers checked

Go back over layers and sharpen

Add copyright details

Crop your tag

If you do not want to add snow

Merge all – flatten

Save tag

For animation

Go to tag/house layer

Close off that layer and anything below it

Merge the remainder visible

Close off merged layer

Reopen remainder and merge visible

Copy bottom merged layer and paste into AS

As a new animation

Open snow animation

Shift D to duplicate snow

Close off original

Using crop tool, crop snow to size required

On tag duplicate to 20 frames using CTRL+L

On snow

Select all – copy

On tag

Select all – paste into selected frame

Run animation

Back to PSP

Copy top merged layer

Paste into AS as a new animation

Edit – propagate paste

Drag layer onto animated frame

When in position, release

Run your animation again

Save your tag

Apply

Layers merge group

Paste Frame1 as a new layer

Resize

Using deformation tool maneuver frame to fit inside mask layer

Still on frame layer

Use Plugin – nature – icicles

Under settings tab select

Medium, Sheet of shiny ice

Apply using default settings

Paste snow1 as a new layer

Resize and place under frame

Don’t remove excess on this one

Duplicate snow layer

Move above first snow layer

Now go to frame layer

Using magic wand click inside frame to select

Selections – Modify – Expand x5

Go back to top snow layer

Selections - Invert

Hit delete on keyboard

Selections – select none

Paste Christmas tree as a new layer

Duplicate twice

Resize to various sizes

See my tag for placement

Paste a clock as a new layer

Resize to suit and position to right

Add your main tube and position

Add any other embellishments of choice

Add the following drop shadow to layers except mask layer

V1 H-1 O30 B2 I used #d88743 instead of black

Select #e9e9ed as background colour

Using font on size 72, stroke 0

Add your name

Position in snow layer

Add the following drop shadow

V2 H-2 O40 B20 #404040

Apply

Add

Resize your tag to suit all layers checked

Go back over layers and sharpen

Add copyright details

Crop your tag

Merge all – flatten

Save tag if you don’t wish to add bling animation

For animation

Open Animation Shop

Copy your merged tag

Paste into AS as a new animation

Open bling animation

Delete black frame

Duplicate your tag to 11 frames using CTRL+L

On bling – select all – copy

On tag – select all – paste into selected frames

Place bling on top of tree

Repeat for other 2 trees

Run your animation

Save your tag

Paste element 4 (choir angel) as a new layer

Resize and place into position

Resize and move to left side

Add your main tube

Add the following drop shadow to layers except mask and paper layer

Select #a4071c as background colour, foreground #659732

Close off foreground for now

Using font on size 48

Add

Convert to raster layer

Apply a gradient glow with the following settings

Under settings tab

Under Basic Tab

Believe …

Add same gradient glow

Position words to suit

Add your name and position on angel skirt

Add a drop shadow as before

Resize your tag to suit all layers checked

Go back over layers and sharpen

Add copyright details

Crop your tag

If you do not want to add fire animation

Merge your layers and save tag

For animation

Go to fireplace layer

Will be easier if you close off your main tube

Zoom in if necessary

Use freehand selection tool on point to point

Slowly and carefully go around the fire area

When ready

Duplicate layer 2 twice

On first layer

Plugin – Eye Candy 4000 - Fire

With the following settings

You may have to fine tune them to suit yourself

Apply

On second and third layers

Repeat plugin change only random seed

Selections – select none

Reopen main tube

Open Animation Shop

Close off layers 2 and 3 of fire layer

Right click on tag and copy merged

Paste into AS as a new animation

In PSP close off layer 1 and open layer 2

Copy merge and paste into AS using CTRL+L

Repeat for layer 3

Run your animation

Change frame properties to 20

Save your tag

Rotate 90° right

Resize to suit

Using magic wand click inside frame to select

Selections – Modify – Expand x5

Paste a paper of choice as a new layer

I used 6

Selections - Invert

Hit delete on keyboard

Selections – Invert

Paste Christmas Love2 as a new layer

Paste another tree as a new layer

Resize both to suit and position

Selections – Invert

Hit delete on keyboard for both layers

Selections – select none

Move paper and both tree layers below frame

Close off background and frame layer

Merge the trees to paper layer

Reopen layers

Paste ivy corner as a new layer

Resize and place on left side

Move down below frame layer

Duplicate and mirror

Paste a heart as a new layer

Resize and place on left side

Add the following drop shadow to your layers except frame

V1 H1 O30 B1 black

Using font on size 48, stroke 1

Foreground white, background #666b46

Add “The colour of winter”

Convert to raster layer

Position at top

Continue with font

Add “is in your imagination”

Convert to raster layer

Position at bottom

Apply a gradient glow – subtle white with default settings

Add your name to the tag using white as main colour

Add a drop shadow as before

Resize your tag to suit all layers checked

Go back over layers and sharpen

Add copyright details

Crop your tag

If you do not want to add snow

Merge your layers and save tag

For animation

Go to paper layer and trees layer

Selections – select all – float – defloat

Duplicate layer 3 times

On first layer

Plugin – VDL – Adrenaline - Snowflakes

With the following settings

On second layer

Repeat plugin change only random seed

Repeat for third and fourth layers

Selections – select none

Open Animation Shop

Close off layers 2, 3 and 4 of snow layer

Right click on tag and copy merged

Paste into AS as a new animation

In PSP close off layer 1 and open layer 2

Copy merge and paste into AS using CTRL+L

Repeat for layers 3 and 4

Run your animation

Change frame properties to 20

Save your tag

Add drop shadow to layers except mask and paper layers

Using Twilight font add your name to the tag

Add a drop shadow as before

Using Pablo font on size 48

Background colour #8fb1cf; foreground null

Add the word Edward

Add a gradient glow with the following settings

Position word as shown in finished tag

Add the words I’m not afraid

Repeat gradient glow

Position word as shown in finished tag

Resize your tag to suit all layers checked

Go back over layers and sharpen

Add copyright details

Crop your tag

Merge your layers and save tag
